PESHAWAR: Historical Shandur Polo Festival at the highest place of the world has been rescheduled to July 15-17 instead of July 22-24 to avoid the forthcoming monsoon rains.
According to Manager Media Zara Alam the festival was rescheduled on a request made by Chitral Scout and District Administration because of the forthcoming monsoon rainy season. She said that last year the festival was cancelled well before its schedule due to flood and torrential rain. She said that Tourism, Museum, Archeology and Youth Affairs all out facilities would be provided to the local and foreign tourists during the historical polo festival as desired by Additional Secretary Sports.
