Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s tally in Punjab Assembly has reportedly rise to 134 as another three independently elected MPAs have decided to join party ranks.
According to reports, three independent MPA-elects including Ajmal Cheema and Malik Umar Farooq from Faisalabad and Sardar Abdul from Muzaffargarh would join PTI.
Earlier in the day, two independently elected members of the provincial assembly, Pir Saeedul Hassan who won from PP-46 Narowal and PP-7’s winning candidate Raja Saghir, met PTI Chairman Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala and joined the party.
PTI claimed that its tally in Punjab Assembly has reached 132 and ‘game for PML-N is over’. On the other hand, PML- N leaders have also claimed that they would form government in Punjab.
A party requires 148 seats to form government in the assembly.
Moreover, former Sindh Chief Minister and newly elected independent member of the National Assembly from NA-205 Ghotki-2, Saradar Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar also decided to join the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI).
In July 25 elections, PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National and Khyber PakhtunKhwa assembly.
